Reel Life Data

ARK - based in Queen’s University and Ulster University - is seeking partners to develop a range of short films which draw upon their social survey data from 2013 focusing upon public attitudes towards lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) equality in Northern Ireland.  These films will then be added to the ARK website, shared via social media, and publicly screened at a local event in early 2018 - when the film makers will be invited to attend and discuss their work.  The challenge is to use the ARK data as the basis for short films (maximum 3 minutes) and to present this material in an interesting way.  It doesn't have to be a documentary - it could be fiction, animation, discussion, vox pop, interviews, music video, game show etc.  The more creative the better!  To be considered, a 600-word brief must be submitted by Monday 23rd October 2017.  To find out more, visit: www.ark.ac.uk/film17
