Men's Health Forum in Ireland Advisory Group

At the outset (in May 1999) the Men's Health Forum in Ireland (MHFI) primarily drew support from a broad alliance of interest groups based in Northern Ireland.  However, it soon recognised that men's health work needs to be tackled on an all-island basis, and efforts were made to expand the representation.  This was successful and, since that time, MHFI has remained a cross-Border body.

The management of MHFI is overseen by the Company Directors, while a wider Advisory Group (the Directors plus other experienced men's health practitioners / service providers / researchers) is tasked with helping to shape and steer the work of the Forum.  All members of the Advisory Group give their input to MHFI in an unpaid and private capacity.  While many are allowed to contribute due to the good-will of their employers, these individuals do not participate as representatives of the organisations that they work for.
