"Men's
Health in Ireland" Report
The Men's Health Forum in
Ireland launched their seminal report "Men's Health in Ireland"
on Thursday 15th January 2004 in Buswell's Hotel, Molesworth Street,
Dublin. This launch was attended by 90 people ranging from health service
providers to political parties; academic researchers to men's work activists.
This report provides the
most comprehensive overview of key statistics on men's health on the
island of Ireland that has ever been collated. It also makes a number
of recommendations for improving the health of local men.
Launching the report, Mr
Ivor Callely TD, Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children
in the Republic of Ireland, said: "Men's health is an area that needs
development urgently and this report highlights many areas where ongoing
and collaborative working is vital."
